Ronald Llaneta from Atimonan, Quezon who work as a security guard at Jazz Mall in Makati discovered a bag inside a pushcart at the supermarket section of the mall while conducting roving inspection. Upon checking its contents to look for any ID to identify the owner, he found out that it contained a large amount of money, amounting to a whopping P500,000!
The honest guard wasn’t tempted at all, and immediately surrender the bag to the mall’s main office. A few moments later, the mall was able to contact the owner and returned the money.
The owner of the bag was so grateful
and offered to give Llaneta a reward, but the later refused. He believed that he didn’t deserve the reward because he was simply doing his job.

The mall’s management instead gave him a well-deserved salute, accompanied by a heartfelt ‘thank you’ from the owner.
